While driving the 2017 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6, we probably passed more money in cars than the average driver, but we accomplished our goal of catching up to the NSX. Which made us extremely happy.
When you first sit in the 2017 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 you’ll notice one of the most important thing to a car person: it had a manual transmission. And it’s brilliant. Crisp and responsive to inputs.
Depress the push-button start and the 278 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 growls itself to life. The EarthDreams engine utilizing direct injection, i-VTEC timing and other engineering wizardry to create a wonderful 251 lb-ft of torque.
This allowed us giggle past a Nissan GT-R, a Mercedes-Benz AMG and a BMW M4 with the greatest of ease (of course, we weren’t racing…).
We caught up to the NSX and put a bright blue Honda right in their rear-view, bringing further happiness to our drive.
The leather interior kept us comfortable, the bolstering kept us planted and the accelerator kept us giggling like school girls. Which is great when you consider this model only costs $32,010 (MSRP). A low entry cost for an immensely fun vehicle.
